It is the sweet orange, called Burtuqal in Arabic, the protagonist of this liqueur. Obtained with an artisanal method, its preparation begins with the harvest of the fruit, rigorously completed once the right ripeness has been reached. Immediately after harvesting, the peels are placed in maceration, together with selected spices, for the slow extraction of the essential oils. And it is in this expectation that Burtuqa takes shape. Sweet, like the embrace of the mountains that surround Palermo. Determined, like the roots of the Orange tree anchored to its land, Sicily.
