This salami is an artisanal cured meat obtained from a mixture of meat from the Nebrodi Black Pig, a native Sicilian species, naturally salted and flavored according to recipes handed down from generation to generation. Taste it in a Sicilian appetizer in combination with other typical cold cuts and cheeses, accompanied by a slice of ancient Sicilian grain bread and a good glass of Sicilian red wine.

The Suino Nero dei Nebrodi is a small, dark-coated pig raised in the semi-wild and wild state in large areas used for grazing. It is a native Sicilian species, very similar in features and behavior to the wild boar. Frugal and hardy, this breed has seen a considerable reduction in numbers in recent years. The breeders have very small farms and, in most cases, are also processors. Their products are artisanal, excellent in workmanship and meat properties.
