Description
Petralava Etna Bianco DOC by Antichi Vinai is an elegant, mineral wine, born on the volcanic slopes of Etna, where lava soil and Mediterranean climate give life to wines of extraordinary personality.
Made from a blend of 80% Carricante and 20% Catarratto, two native Sicilian grape varieties, it comes from the vineyards of Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo (CT), at an altitude ideal for developing fine aromas and a marked freshness.
To the eye, it presents a soft, brilliant straw yellow. On the nose, it offers floral hints of broom and delicate fruity notes of pear, pineapple and citrus, enriched by a subtle mineral vein that tells of its volcanic terroir.
On the palate it is dry, fresh and savory, with pleasant hints of white-fleshed fruit and vanilla, giving balance and harmony. The body is elegant and the finish persistent, with a freshness that invites another sip.
Ideal to accompany fish dishes, shellfish, seafood and fresh cheeses, Petralava Etna Bianco DOC is at its best in its early years, but can evolve elegantly if cellared for up to two years.
With an alcohol content of 12.5%, it is a versatile, refined wine, the perfect expression of Etna winemaking and the mastery of Antichi Vinai, a winery that has celebrated the identity of Sicilian grape varieties for five generations.
