Description
Piano Cuturi Faro DOC is the expression of a historic and prestigious terroir located in the Messina area. This high-quality red wine is a blend of native Sicilian grape varieties, combining the elegance of Nerello Mascalese with the structure of Nero d’Avola and the support of Nocera and Nerello Cappuccio.
Origin and Denomination
The name “Piano Cuturi” refers to the Giampilieri plateau, where one of Azienda Agricola Bonfiglio’s vineyards is located. The Faro DOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) recognition attests to strict adherence to the traditional production methods of the Messina area.
Meticulous Aging
The structure and complexity of this red wine are the result of skillful aging management:
First stage: Initial rest in steel tanks.
Noble aging: The wine then matures in French oak tonneaux for a period of 18 months, a process that gives it softness, complexity and longevity.
The result is an elegant red wine, ideal for pairing with structured dishes and special occasions.
