Description
This Mini Pistachio Royal Paste is made with 100% organic Sicilian almonds and crafted using slow, traditional artisanal methods. The process includes: preparing the dough and resting it for 24 hours; shaping the pieces with an additional resting period; multi-layer coloring with dedicated drying times; finishing touches followed by further drying; and a final polishing step before packaging.
The result is a delicate sweet with a fine texture and an unmistakable aroma, combining the tradition of almond paste with the distinctive flavor of pistachio.
According to tradition, “Frutta di Martorana” originated in the Palermo monastery of Martorana, where nuns created almond- and sugar-based sweets to decorate the convent. This heritage continues to inspire Sicilian pastry-making today.
